Time Capsules (website and Android app) · Last updated: October 24, 2026
Your capsules are personal. Messages, photos and voice recordings stay on your phone and are never uploaded to our servers. This page explains what Time Capsules keeps, where and why.
1. Data controller

2. The website
No cookies, no tracking. This website uses no cookies, analytics tools, advertising pixels or contact forms. Fonts are served from this website, not from third parties.
Technical logs. Like any website, the hosting provider (Netlify, Inc.) automatically records some technical data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type) to run the service and protect it from abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept according to the hosting provider's policies.
Language preference. The language you choose is stored in your browser's localStorage, only on your device, and is never sent to us.
3. The Time Capsules app
3.1 What stays on your phone
Capsule titles and messages, photos, voice recordings, opening and creation dates, and your Pro status are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers.
3.2 What we store online: the free-plan limit
The free version allows one capsule. To enforce this limit even after the app is reinstalled, the app saves in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore:
- your device's Android ID (a device identifier);
- how many free capsules this device has created;
- the date of the last one.
This record contains no capsule content and is not linked to your name, email or Google account. It is used only for the free-plan limit. Legal basis: legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the free plan (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). When you first open the app, it explains this and asks you to accept.
3.3 When you share a capsule
Sharing creates a link that contains the capsule's title, message and opening date. Photos and voice messages are not included. The link is sent through the app you choose (for example a chat app or email) and is not stored on our servers. Anyone who has the link can import the capsule.
3.4 Permissions
- Microphone, to record voice messages;
- Photos, to attach pictures to capsules;
- Notifications and exact alarms, to tell you when a capsule opens.
Content accessed through these permissions stays on your device. You can revoke any permission at any time in Android settings.
3.5 Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on your device for the day each capsule opens. No notification content leaves your phone.
3.6 Purchases
Time Capsules Pro is bought through Google Play. We never see your payment details; Google's Privacy Policy covers how they are handled. The app only receives confirmation that the purchase is valid.
4. What we do not collect
Time Capsules has no account, no advertising and no analytics. It does not collect your name, email, location, contacts or the content of your capsules.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Google (Firebase, Google Play) and Netlify may process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
6. Retention

7. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). You can delete your capsules directly in the app. For the free-plan record or anything else, write to jamiromicdev@gmail.com: we reply within 30 days.
8. Complaints
You can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country. In Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it.
9. Children
Time Capsules is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated. The date of the last update is always shown at the top of the page.

Le tue capsule sono personali. Messaggi, foto e registrazioni vocali restano sul tuo telefono e non vengono mai caricati sui nostri server. Questa pagina spiega cosa conserva Time Capsules, dove e perché.
1. Titolare del trattamento

2. Il sito web
Niente cookie, niente tracciamento. Il sito non usa cookie, strumenti di analisi, pixel pubblicitari né moduli di contatto. I font sono serviti da questo sito, non da terze parti.
Log tecnici. Come ogni sito, il fornitore di hosting (Netlify, Inc.) registra automaticamente alcuni dati tecnici (indirizzo IP, data e ora, pagina richiesta, tipo di browser) per far funzionare il servizio e proteggerlo dagli abusi. Base giuridica: legittimo interesse (art. 6, par. 1, lett. f GDPR). I log sono conservati secondo le politiche del fornitore di hosting.
Preferenza di lingua. La lingua che scegli viene salvata nel localStorage del tuo browser, solo sul tuo dispositivo, e non ci viene mai inviata.
3. L'app Time Capsules
3.1 Cosa resta sul tuo telefono
Titoli e messaggi delle capsule, foto, registrazioni vocali, date di creazione e di apertura e il tuo stato Pro sono salvati solo nella memoria privata dell'app sul tuo dispositivo. Non vengono mai caricati sui nostri server.
3.2 Cosa salviamo online: il limite del piano gratuito
La versione gratuita consente una capsula. Per far rispettare questo limite anche dopo una reinstallazione, l'app salva in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore:
- l'Android ID del tuo dispositivo (un identificativo del dispositivo);
- quante capsule gratuite ha creato questo dispositivo;
- la data dell'ultima.
Questo record non contiene il contenuto delle capsule e non è collegato al tuo nome, alla tua email o al tuo account Google. Serve solo per il limite del piano gratuito. Base giuridica: legittimo interesse a prevenire l'abuso del piano gratuito (art. 6, par. 1, lett. f GDPR). Al primo avvio l'app te lo spiega e ti chiede di accettare.
3.3 Quando condividi una capsula
La condivisione crea un link che contiene titolo, messaggio e data di apertura della capsula. Foto e messaggi vocali non sono inclusi. Il link viene inviato con l'app che scegli tu (per esempio una chat o l'email) e non viene salvato sui nostri server. Chiunque abbia il link può importare la capsula.
3.4 Permessi
- Microfono, per registrare i messaggi vocali;
- Foto, per allegare immagini alle capsule;
- Notifiche e sveglie esatte, per avvisarti quando una capsula si apre.
I contenuti a cui l'app accede con questi permessi restano sul tuo dispositivo. Puoi revocare qualsiasi permesso in qualunque momento dalle impostazioni di Android.
3.5 Notifiche
I promemoria vengono programmati sul tuo dispositivo per il giorno di apertura di ogni capsula. Il contenuto delle notifiche non lascia il telefono.
3.6 Acquisti
Time Capsules Pro si acquista tramite Google Play. Non vediamo mai i tuoi dati di pagamento: il loro trattamento è regolato dall'informativa privacy di Google. L'app riceve solo la conferma che l'acquisto è valido.
4. Cosa non raccogliamo
Time Capsules non ha account, pubblicità né strumenti di analisi. Non raccoglie il tuo nome, la tua email, la posizione, i contatti né il contenuto delle capsule.
5. Trasferimenti fuori dall'UE
Google (Firebase, Google Play) e Netlify possono trattare dati negli Stati Uniti. Questi trasferimenti si basano sul Data Privacy Framework UE-USA e/o sulle clausole contrattuali standard approvate dalla Commissione europea.

7. I tuoi diritti
Hai diritto di accesso, rettifica, cancellazione, limitazione, portabilità e opposizione (artt. 15–22 GDPR). Puoi cancellare le tue capsule direttamente nell'app. Per il record del piano gratuito o per qualsiasi altra richiesta scrivi a jamiromicdev@gmail.com: rispondiamo entro 30 giorni.
8. Reclami
Puoi presentare reclamo all'autorità di controllo del tuo Paese. In Italia: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it.
9. Minori
Time Capsules non è rivolta ai minori di 13 anni e non raccoglie consapevolmente i loro dati. Se pensi che un minore ci abbia fornito dei dati, contattaci e li cancelleremo.

Questa informativa può essere aggiornata. La data dell'ultimo aggiornamento è sempre indicata in cima alla pagina.

2. Die Website
Keine Cookies, kein Tracking. Diese Website verwendet keine Cookies, Analysetools, Werbepixel oder Kontaktformulare. Die Schriften werden von dieser Website geladen, nicht von Dritten.
Technische Logs. Wie jede Website erfasst der Hosting-Anbieter (Netlify, Inc.) automatisch einige technische Daten (IP-Adresse, Datum und Uhrzeit, aufgerufene Seite, Browsertyp), um den Dienst zu betreiben und vor Missbrauch zu schützen. Rechtsgrundlage: berechtigtes Interesse (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Die Logs werden gemäß den Richtlinien des Hosting-Anbieters aufbewahrt.
Spracheinstellung. Die gewählte Sprache wird im localStorage deines Browsers gespeichert, nur auf deinem Gerät, und nie an uns gesendet.
3. Die App Time Capsules
3.1 Was auf deinem Handy bleibt
Titel und Nachrichten der Kapseln, Fotos, Sprachaufnahmen, Erstellungs- und Öffnungsdaten sowie dein Pro-Status werden nur im privaten Speicher der App auf deinem Gerät gespeichert. Sie werden nie auf unsere Server hochgeladen.
3.2 Was wir online speichern: das Limit der kostenlosen Version
Die kostenlose Version erlaubt eine Kapsel. Damit dieses Limit auch nach einer Neuinstallation gilt, speichert die App in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore:
- die Android-ID deines Geräts (eine Gerätekennung);
- wie viele kostenlose Kapseln dieses Gerät erstellt hat;
- das Datum der letzten.
Dieser Eintrag enthält keinen Kapselinhalt und ist nicht mit deinem Namen, deiner E-Mail-Adresse oder deinem Google-Konto verknüpft. Er dient nur dem Limit der kostenlosen Version. Rechtsgrundlage: berechtigtes Interesse an der Verhinderung von Missbrauch der kostenlosen Version (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Beim ersten Start erklärt die App dies und bittet um deine Zustimmung.
3.3 Wenn du eine Kapsel teilst
Beim Teilen entsteht ein Link mit Titel, Nachricht und Öffnungsdatum der Kapsel. Fotos und Sprachnachrichten sind nicht enthalten. Der Link wird über die App deiner Wahl verschickt (zum Beispiel eine Chat-App oder E-Mail) und nicht auf unseren Servern gespeichert. Wer den Link hat, kann die Kapsel importieren.
3.4 Berechtigungen
- Mikrofon, um Sprachnachrichten aufzunehmen;
- Fotos, um Bilder an Kapseln anzuhängen;
- Benachrichtigungen und exakte Wecker, um dich zu informieren, wenn sich eine Kapsel öffnet.
Inhalte, auf die über diese Berechtigungen zugegriffen wird, bleiben auf deinem Gerät. Du kannst jede Berechtigung jederzeit in den Android-Einstellungen widerrufen.
3.5 Benachrichtigungen
Erinnerungen werden auf deinem Gerät für den Öffnungstag jeder Kapsel geplant. Kein Benachrichtigungsinhalt verlässt dein Handy.
3.6 Käufe
Time Capsules Pro wird über Google Play gekauft. Wir sehen deine Zahlungsdaten nie; für deren Verarbeitung gilt die Datenschutzerklärung von Google. Die App erhält nur die Bestätigung, dass der Kauf gültig ist.
4. Was wir nicht erfassen
Time Capsules hat kein Konto, keine Werbung und keine Analysetools. Die App erfasst weder deinen Namen noch deine E-Mail-Adresse, deinen Standort, deine Kontakte oder den Inhalt deiner Kapseln.
5. Übermittlungen außerhalb der EU
Google (Firebase, Google Play) und Netlify können Daten in den Vereinigten Staaten verarbeiten. Diese Übermittlungen stützen sich auf das EU-US Data Privacy Framework und/oder auf von der Europäischen Kommission genehmigte Standardvertragsklauseln.

7. Deine Rechte
Du hast das Recht auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung, Datenübertragbarkeit und Widerspruch (Art. 15–22 DSGVO). Deine Kapseln kannst du direkt in der App löschen. Für den Eintrag der kostenlosen Version oder andere Anliegen schreib an jamiromicdev@gmail.com: Wir antworten innerhalb von 30 Tagen.
8. Beschwerden
Du kannst dich bei der Aufsichtsbehörde deines Landes beschweren. In Italien: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it.
9. Kinder
Time Capsules richtet sich nicht an Kinder unter 13 Jahren und erfasst wissentlich keine Daten von ihnen. Wenn du glaubst, dass ein Kind uns Daten übermittelt hat, kontaktiere uns und wir löschen sie.
10. Änderungen
Diese Erklärung kann aktualisiert werden. Das Datum der letzten Änderung steht immer oben auf der Seite.
